The Corona-Warn-App (CWA) gets a function to enter the vaccination status. It can be found directly on the start screen, where you can “add a vaccination certificate” – which is done using a QR code. Similar to how current test results can be entered. Those who are fully vaccinated will receive a blue status message after two weeks. If the 14 days after the second vaccination, which are necessary for full vaccination protection, have not yet passed, the status is gray.
The update to version 2.3.2 is already available for many people and should soon be available for all devices. The staggered availability should enable a better reaction to possible irregularities, explains the Robert Koch Institute, which are responsible for the CWA.
Pharmacies issue evidence
The EU-wide “green vaccination pass” has thus become a blue one for Germany. Even if there is the possibility of entering the vaccination status in the Corona warning app, the certificates can actually only be issued from Monday, June 14th. For this it will be necessary to show the yellow vaccination book to an authorized pharmacy. There, pharmacists check the authenticity of the stamp. Who you can turn to is on the page mein-apothekenmanager.de give a search function; the list is constantly being expanded. The CovPass, an alternative to the CWA, is also issued in pharmacies. The pharmacies are of course paid for the service.
Evidence of vaccination, recovery and a negative corona test can be entered in the CovPass app. It is provided by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). However, there is no contact tracing option like the CWA. All data is only saved locally on the end device. A QR code to show contains a minimal data set, they are secured with a signature, it says on the side of the RKI. For both apps, the yellow vaccination certificate is also valid to show your vaccination status.
