The Raja Group has pulled out all the stops in the pandemic more than ever to maintain its excellent customer service in 2020.

Raja Group: Integration of the companies acquired in 2019

Despite the disruption from the pandemic, the Group’s performance is remarkable: sustained sales growth, strong operating income growth and ongoing investments in logistics and digital projects. In addition, the group of companies has successfully integrated the four companies acquired in 2019: JPG in France, Mondoffice in Italy, Kalamazoo in Spain and Bernard, market leader in the field of hygiene and cleaning in France and Belgium. This achievement illustrates the strength of the group’s business model and positions it to benefit from a recovery in the European economy in 2021.

High demand for packaging material

The demand for packaging materials and factory equipment, which make up 50 percent of Group sales, was supported by the sharp increase in online retail across Europe. The corona crisis has also greatly increased companies’ need for protective equipment as well as hygiene and cleaning products, markets in which the group is also well positioned. The group’s subsidiaries, which specialize in the sale of office supplies and office furniture, were able to maintain a good level of activity despite the slight market decline. Sales of warehouse and factory equipment remained at the previous year’s level.

We are particularly proud that in such a difficult year we were able to further strengthen the bond with our 1 million customers and win the trust of 250,000 new customers in Europe. ”

Extensive solidarity campaigns by the Raja group

During 2020, in line with their values ​​of solidarity and social commitment, and in addition to the initiatives and sponsorship of the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation, the Group’s subsidiaries carried out solidarity actions to combat the health, economic and social consequences of Covd-19 by supporting numerous clubs.

At the end of the year, the Raja Group donated an additional one million euros to charitable associations to support the people in need in European countries. These included the Red Cross France, Doctors Without Borders, Doctors of the World and Action against Hunger. In Germany, 60,000 euros were donated to Tafel Deutschland, the Off Road Kids and the day meeting for homeless women in Karlsruhe.

Raja Group has ambitious goals for 2021

For 2021, the Raja Group is aiming for sales growth of between eight and ten percent. Danièle Kapel-Marcovici comments on the objectives: “In order to achieve this ambitious goal, we must consolidate our position as a multi-specialist in Europe, strengthen our organization and further expand our customer base in all of our markets. The gradual economic recovery in Europe, the strong growth of e-commerce, the expansion of our product range and the growing demand for environmentally friendly products will enable us to achieve our goals. Thanks to the good financial health of the group, we will continue our investment program across Europe. ”
