The E-commerce Germany Awards were presented for the fourth time in 2021. Within a few years, the award and the associated award ceremony have developed into a central event within the German e-commerce industry. The award also takes up the dynamic development within the market and can thus count as an important yardstick for the future viability of solutions and providers. Due to the current situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the award ceremony this year did not take place as an evening gala, as usual, but was carried out virtually.

New managing director appointed for DACH market
At the same time as the E-commerce Germany Awards were presented, Sana Commerce appointed Melanie Volkmann as the new managing director for the German-speaking market. She has been in charge of the company’s fortunes in the DACH market since the end of May and is also the point of contact for customers and partners. Melanie Volkmann has been with Sana Commerce since 2017 and has previously worked as a project manager. Before she discovered her passion for e-commerce, she was able to gain several years of experience as a project manager and project director in the B2B area. As a holder of the Six Sigma BlackBelt and Lean Practitioner, she has not only this practical experience, but also the necessary know-how for the position as the new managing director in the DACH region.
