The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has won Deutsche Telekom as a partner in Germany. As the company announced, there will be Xiaomi smartphones with a contract from the largest German mobile operator in the future.
"We are very pleased to have gained a particularly important and strong partner in Telekom Germany, with whom we will further expand the presence and distribution of our smartphones and IoT-connected smart hardware."says Ou Wen, Head of Western Europe at Xiaomi.
At the start of the collaboration, the Mi Note 10 will be available in the Pro version from EUR 1 in the Magenta Mobil M contract with a top smartphone. Customers also receive the Mi Robot Builder Rover, a kit consisting of over 1,000 parts and two motors, which can be programmed and controlled using the app. The Mi Note 10 performed well in the Golem.de test; the camera is currently taking the sharpest pictures in the smartphone area.
Redmi Note 8 Pro with 128 GB
In the mid-range range, the Redmi Note 8 Pro will be configured with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory together with a contract from Telekom. The device will also be available from 1 euro, in connection with the Magenta M contract with smartphone.
The collaboration with Telekom represents a further step in Xiaomi's expansion into Germany. In 2019, the manufacturer decided to increase its commitment in Germany after having been active in other European countries for several years. Germany was not one of them: anyone interested in Xiaomi smartphones had to import the devices. It is conceivable that Huawei's sales problems in western markets contributed to the decision.
