Star Wars: Lego brings Pixel Art with Darth Vader and Iron Man

The Lego block toy becomes Pixel Art. The company has a new one Art collection presented, with which well-known characters from Star Wars and Iron Man, but also works by real people like the Beatles and Andy Warhol, become building blocks. The Lego sets are aimed explicitly at adult craft fans and have around 3,000 to 3,400 pieces. “Treat yourself to a well-deserved break and build a special showpiece for your living room or office.”, the company writes in the product announcement.

There will be a total of four sets, each with a theme: Star Wars: The Sith, Marvel Studio Iron Man, Andy Warhols Marilyn Monroe and The Beatles. Each kit contains enough stones to build one out of several different motifs. The resulting picture is 40 cm tall. Both the pixels and the picture frame consist entirely of Lego bricks.

Star Wars: The Sith enables the construction of portraits by Darth Maul, Darth Vader and Kylo Ren. 3,406 stones are included in the set. Three products can also be combined to form a larger motif. The 120 x 40 cm picture shows Darth Vader in portrait format.

Marvel Studios Iron Man consists of 3,167 stones from which Iron Man in two views and the Hulkbuster suit can be built. Here, too, three sets can be put together to form a 120 x 40 cm large horizontal motif, which Iron Man shows when he fires his hand laser.

Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe shows the famous pop art image of the singer and consists of 3,341 parts. Here Monroe can be assembled in four different colors. However, there is no alternative larger version.

That also applies to the four motifs of the Beatles. The set consists of 2,933 stones and enables the construction of all four members of the iconic band.

All sets come with a soundtrack that contains a podcast with additional information on the respective works. Fans should be encouraged to listen to the soundtrack during construction. The whole thing is advertised as relaxing and meditative – which, according to experience, is true at Lego.

However, the sets are not cheap. A kit costs 117 euros. Delivery of the Lego Art collection begins on August 1st. Alternatively, fans can download the instructions for the artworks and try to recreate them with their own stone collection.
