Businesses, especially startups, have many decisions to make when selling products and services online. From the question of the right invoicing software, a modern payment system or a suitable email marketing solution. This quickly becomes confusing. In addition, the interfaces of many providers often do not interlock.
All-round carefree package: partner initiative with leading software providers
The fintech Mollie, which has just closed a financing round of 665 million euros, stands for simplicity. It helps small and medium-sized companies to integrate all desired payment methods into their own online shop with just a few clicks. In order to find out what other challenges online retailers are facing when building and scaling their offerings, Mollie spoke to numerous shop owners. “It turned out that they are often overwhelmed by the complexity and variety of the software required for an online shop,” says Ken Serdons, Mollie’s Chief Commercial Officer. “The choice of the technological partner when setting up the company is an important strategic and well-considered decision. On the one hand, this applies to startups in an early corporate phase with a clear growth strategy. But also for long-standing online shops that want to continue to scale. ”
Mollie has therefore launched a partner initiative with leading software providers from the e-commerce sector. This enabled them to put together an all-round carefree package for online retailers. “With the Boost Kit, we want users to use as many of these programs as possible in a functioning eco-system. In addition, they should be able to switch quickly from one integration to the next. Even if they are not technically savvy, ”explains Ken Serdons. The partners include Taxdoo, a program for automated sales tax, the accounting software Billomat, the shipping provider Sendcloud, the marketing platform Sendinblue, Zapier, which links various web applications, and the ERP platform weclapp for teams.
Bundling of e-commerce tools for payment processing, invoicing or shipping software
“Mollie’s Boost Kit is once again proof that loyal partnerships in e-commerce pay off. It is a unique range of concentrated expert knowledge with the vision of making it easier for retailers to get started in the online world, ”says Cenk Bayraktar, Global Content Marketing Manager at Sendcloud. He goes on to explain: “Startups often have difficulties competing with established brands because they lack know-how or technical affinity. As part of the Boost Kit, Sendcloud helps retailers discover opportunities to differentiate themselves through sophisticated optimizations in the area of shipping and logistics. This means that they can not only stand out from their competitors, but also meet the high demands of consumers. We are convinced that with the Boost Kit we can help startups to really get started with their business. ”
Moritz Lukas, Vice President Sales & General Manager of Taxdoo, also sees great advantages in the cooperation: “The reliable processing of sales tax and financial accounting is one of the central prerequisites for getting off to a good start with your own business – both in your own country and internationally. As part of the Mollie Boost Kit, we are delighted to be able to keep our backs on these topics for online retailers so that they can concentrate fully on growing. ”
For Mollie, the existing collaborations are just the beginning. The company plans to win additional partners for the Boost Kit.
