Turkey's Arms Exports Increased by 170%

According to the annual report released by the SPRI Turkey arms trade, arms sales 2014-2018 period increased 170 percent compared to the period 2009-2013. In the same period, the arms market in the world grew by 7.8%.

In the global arms transfer report announced by Stockholm Institute of Peace Treaties SIPRI, arms trade in recent years has been examined. Arms trade increased by 7.8 percent between the years 2014-2018. The top five countries that exported the most weapons were the US, Russia, France, Germany and China, respectively.
