Asus has that Zenbook Flip 14 (UM462) presented. This is a 14-inch notebook with 360-degree hinge. Typical for Asus notebooks is the position of the display, which slightly slants the keyboard when unfolded. The panel has a full HD resolution and a touch screen as well as a pen digitizer integrated. Accordingly, the screen is not anti-reflective. A special feature is the choice of the processor. Asus decides after some time for a Ryzen-3000 CPU, instead of Intel's counterpart.
You can choose from the Ryzen 5 3500U or the Ryzen 7 3700U – each with four cores and eight threads and a Vega 10 graphics unit. AMD's Picasso is based on the slightly older Zen + generation and not like the desktop versions on Zen 2. Nevertheless, Golem.de was convinced at least by the Ryzen 7 3700U in the test of the HP Envy 13 x360.
The processor supplements Asus with a maximum of 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. In addition, users will find two USB-A ports, USB Type-C, a micro-SD card reader and full size HDMI on the case. Although the touchpad does not have a full second screen, it can act as a digital number pad. However, the notebook is not necessarily light at 1.6 kg, if it is to be used as a tablet. The 42-watt-hour battery should last a maximum of 9 hours.
